How to make the best Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal with an Egg Boost

Yogurt and egg work well together to provide oatmeal lovers who prefer more protein for breakfast a dish that resembles bread pudding. Even though ⅔ cup of oats only has 3 grams of protein, adding the egg will give you an extra 6 grams, and adding yogurt will give you even more.


Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal


Components:


One egg

One-third cup of milk

⅓ cup of fast-cooking oatmeal

¼ cup of apple, chopped finely

One tablespoon of optional sugar

One-half teaspoon of ground cinnamon

(Optional) dash of salt

Half a cup of vanilla yogurt


Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal


Instructions:


In a 2-cup microwave-safe bowl, beat the egg and milk until well combined. Add the apple, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and oats and stir.

For one and a half to two minutes, on high, microwave the egg until the liquid is absorbed and it sets.

After stirring, add yogurt on top. If desired, garnish with more finely sliced apples.
